Laboratory Fume Hoods

A fume hood, also known as a fume cupboard or fume closet, is a local ventilation device that minimizes exposure to hazardous fumes, vapors, or dust. There are two main types: ducted and recirculating (ductless). Both types draw air in from the front and either expel it outside or filter it for safe return to the room. Fume hoods protect users from inhaling toxic gases, safeguard products or experiments, and help protect the environment when equipped with appropriate exhaust filters.

  • Fume Hoods are very much useful for the industries like Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Clinic research centre. It is also used in Education industry.

  • Fume hoods are mainly used for the R&D process where the hazardous fumes will be generated during the chemical reactions and will harmful for the laboratory Chemist/Scientist.
